Hi Lindsay and thanks for sharing your suggestion. We’re sorry to hear you’ve had this experience. This cereal isn’t gluten-free. When our products are certified gluten-free, we always ensure there’s a label saying so. If it’s not gluten-free and you don’t see a gluten-free label on the box, then it’s safe to assume not gluten-free (even if you don’t see gluten as a listed ingredient). The reason behind this is that even though you might not see gluten ingredients listed, there’s always chance of cross-contamination of non-gluten ingredients (such as oats) with gluten ingredients which often happens in the fields or during the milling process. At this time in North America, there isn’t enough organic gluten-free oats to meet our production needs and so we can’t offer gluten-free Oaty Bites or any other gluten-free oats products. However, I’ve passed along your suggestion to the Brand Manager who’ll review it for future consideration.
