Costco here in Toronto used

Costco here in Toronto used to sell a box of 10 x peanut choco and 10 x choconut, and it was truly a winning combination. Sadly, this product is no longer in stock for whatever reason and they’ve switched to a considerably less good 24 bar combination with different flavors. I think the best combination ever would be 8 peanut choco, 8 choconut, 8 maple pecan and would start buying these again if I saw it!

Hi Curtis and thanks for reaching out to us. We’re glad to hear you enjoy our granola bars. Unfortunately, it’s up to Costco to decide what types of packs they’d like to carry. I’d suggest telling Costco how you feel, as they’re always interested in consumer feedback to better meet your needs, as are we. All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

Why the need for “natural

Why the need for “natural flavors?” I think that is just an extra that shouldn’t be in organic foods.

Hi Amanda and thanks for

Hi Amanda and thanks for sharing your input. Organic means that we don’t contain any artificial preservatives, additives, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and that the ingredients aren’t grown with toxic pesticides, chemical fertilizers or fumigants. No MSG or any other artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives are allowed in any of our organically certified foods. A natural flavor has not been submitted to processes that have significantly altered the original physical, chemical, or biological state and our natural flavors are fruit, spice, and plant based. Therefore, we feel the natural flavors we use are appropriate for organic foods, however we take your comments very seriously and so I have forwarded your comments to our Brand Manager. All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team.

I recently purchased my first

I recently purchased my first box of Nature’s Path Chewy Granola Bars at Costco. I’ve tried both flavors, the Peanut Choco and Choconut, they are delicious! It is awkward, though, to get the tasty morsels out of the wrapper, which sticks tenaciously to the bar. There doesn’t seem to be any way to peel the wrapper down so I can hold onto one end with the wrapper on while I eat, sort of like a banana. Does anyone have a suggestion how to eat these without getting my fingers all sticky? I would love to take them along in my backpack but I’m worried about the mess.

Hi Kay and thanks for getting

Hi Kay and thanks for getting in touch with us. We’re sorry to hear you’re having this sticky experience with our bars. As a personal suggestion of mine, I’d suggset storing these in a cool place. I always keep a box of these in the car and find the texture is quite temperature sensitive—in the summer they become sticky and soft, whereas in the winter they become harder. Take care, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

We are trying to buy only fair trade chocolate. Can you tell me if your chocolate is fair trade?

Hi Andrea and thanks so much

Hi Andrea and thanks so much for being a good steward to our Earth! The cocoa from our Love Crunch granola is fair trade. Also, a portion of our organic chocolate comes from a supplier who works directly with farmers and farmer cooperatives through the ICAM “equal partner” program. Although not deemed as “fair trade”, this program provides financial and technical support to farmers in South America and helps the farmer get a fair price for their product. In addition to exploring fair trade certified options, we’re currently working to ensure that all our chocolate and other ingredients meets our standards for social responsibility. Thanks so much for reaching out to us Jessica! Oh the deadly Pay Day - I know how you feel. These granola bars are an amazing organic, and much much better, alternative for you. Please look at the inside packaging of the next box of granola bars, cereal or granola you purchase and you may see a coupon on the inside panel. Surprise! Also, I recommend joining our Facebook and Twitter groups and we sometimes have promotions that way as well. All the best Jessica, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

Hi! We bought these at a discount store, the expiry date was February 16, 2011. Were these part of the major recall Nature’s Path had in 2009 for salmonella contamination? The bars taste okay, but I think they contain way too much sugar.

Thanks for getting in touch

Thanks for getting in touch with us Alan. Depending on when you bought the bars, the store should have discarded the expired bars. Please be sure to inform the store of your situation so they’re aware. In 2009, no Nature’s Path product was tested positive for salmonella and these bars were not recalled. And if you’re looking for a bar with less sugar you should give our Pumpkin-N-Spice Flax Plus Granola Bar (http://www.naturespath.com/products/bars%20and%20cookies?tid=7&brand=All…)or any of our EnviroKidz line of bars. Take care, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

Hi Suzanne! We appreciate the time you took to write us. The invert cane sugar itself does not contain corn. The bars themselves do contain natural flavor which is fruit, spice or plant based and alcohol is sometimes used in the process of extraction. Why is this important to you is that the organic alcohol we used is derived from non-gmo corn. I hightly suggest you take this information to your medical practitioner who will advise you if your son can add this product to his diet. Take care Suzanne, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

Hi there Jeff! Thanks so much for writing in to us. Because our granola bars contain oats, they are not gluten-free. However, we do have Rice Bars that are gluten free, so I highly suggest you try them out. I’ve noticed recently by the kosher symbol listed on the side of the box that for some reason its marked as dairy which poses a real problem for those of us who are lactose intolerant. I don’t see any noticeable dairy in the ingredients so I’m just wondering if its mislabeled on your new boxes? These are a favorite in my home so it would be a big shame if indeed they had some dairy in them.

We’re so glad you love these

We’re so glad you love these bars and thank you for sharing your concern. These granola bars are OU-D Kosher certified, and are labeled as OU-D is because they are made with the same equipment that produces dairy products. This means we can not guarantee that there won’t be any dairy in the product. Depending on the severity of your lactose intolerance you may or may not have a reaction, so we recommend you consulting your health care practitioner to discuss the risks for your particular case. All the best, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

as someone who only eats

as someone who only eats kosher, i would like to let u know that there are very specific criteria for something to be listed as dairy (or “ou d”). very often the products do not contain large amounts of milk, sometimes its a trace amount of milk by-product. the laws for kosher are very strict, and sometimes things earn the label dairy if they are manufactured directly with other dairy products. to find out specifically if this product will upset someone who is lactose intolerant, you should contact the manufacturer

I love the Peanut Choco bars.

I love the Peanut Choco bars. I am a Weight Watcher’s member and have to watch my diet. These are great. I like these better than WW snacks because they are made from natural ingredients.
